Zentrale Hochschulbibliothek opens its doors with restrictions

Dear users of the ZHB,

the ZHB resumes operations with restrictions. Please note the ZHBs hygiene concept (in german) and the following restrictions:

  • On Thursday, 28.05., Friday, 29.05., and Saturday, 30.05., Master's students can borrow media for their final semester.
  • On Tuesday, 02.06. and Wednesday, 03.06., Bachelor students of EUF in their final semester as well as all students of FUAS can also borrow media.
  • As of 04.06. the library will be open to everyone, subject to the access and service restrictions.

On 05.06.2020 the suspension of the reminder fees for media whose loan period has expired, which has been granted in the meantime, will end.

Please note that you can pick up reserved media at the earliest 24 hours after receiving the notification.

We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon in a restricted environment. As soon as the official requirements allow us to provide further services, we will quickly expand our range of services and publish this on our website.

The ZHB's e-media offer is still available to members of the European University and the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and is continuously extended.Further information on newly licensed media can be found here.

You can access e-books, e-journals and databases from any location via VPN. Information on VPN and e-media can be found in the e-media leaflet (in german) or in the online courses of the ZHB on the e-learning platforms of the  EUF and  FUAS.

Test access to Pressreader and rbDigital Magazines

until 06/17/2020 all members of both Flensburg universities can access the contents of Pressreader and rbDigital Magazines. There you have access to more than 7,000 international, national and regional daily newspapers as well as magazines from 100 countries and in 60 languages. The range of titles includes Le Figaro, The Guardian, The Washington Post, Hurriyet, El País, Svenska Dagbladet, Der Tagespiegel and numerous lifestyle and special interest magazines such as PC Welt, Connect, GEO, National Geographic, Capital and Harper's Bazaar. The individual titles, each with a 90-day archive, are available in their original layout with advertisements, photos and illustrations and can be searched in full text. Registration is required! Information on sending copies "COVID-19 emergency operation" for users

Due to the almost nationwide library closures in mid-March, the GBV online inter-library loan had to be stopped on 16.03.2020.As of 15.04.2020, the copy delivery service "COVID-19 emergency operation" can be offered to library users.Further information can be found here. (in german)

Currently no removable media can be used on the user PC's!

Due to technical problems, the function of USB sticks and other removable media on the user PCs of the ZHB is deactivated.A solution is being worked on.It is still possible to print files from USB sticks directly on the copiers!
